NINE YARDS BELL TENTS

When setting up Nine Yards, a good friend and astute businessman, Simon Evans*, told me ‘the way to succeed with a new business is adaptability, not being too rigid with your initial ideas. The ability to read markets and diversify you offerings as and when required will put you in good stead.’ Or words to that effect, it was a while ago now and my memory isn’t great.

With that in mind, when I was offered a collection of kitted out bell tents from the same people I made my initial purchase off I jumped at the chance and Nine Yards Bell Tents was borne.

So far we’re providing tents for weddings at The Holford Arms, a beautiful pub, in Tetbury, a 30 min drive from my base in Bristol. I’ve just returned from the Isle of Mann, where we had tents at Castletown Football Club for the annual TT, the most infamous road race in the world. I was at Glastonbury Festival earlier this week and I’ve got a load more festivals and private events in the pipeline too.

*Simon branched out into the camping world this year too with his new venture Swallow Barn Woodland Campsite, a nearly wild campsite in the Forest of Dean, which is available for private group bookings of up to 20 people, all summer long.
